I'm (24m) at a loss with my gf (24f) about whether I should break up with her.

Throw away account for anonymity and on mobile so apologies for that.

I've been with my gf for just over 2 years and we have been living together for several months. At the start, things were great and I felt happy with her and I'm sure she's happy with me. We've had a few arguments and almost broken up once before which I'll get to in a bit.

I'm a Police Officer so my shift patterns are messed up (12+ hour shifts day and night) and I obviously have some rough days. When I'm on shift, I'm generally so exhausted that I crash and I'm asleep quickly and in between shifts, I'm not with it enough to give her much attention (not that she demands it, just what she deserves or what should be normal) and I'm usually quite short with her which I can see bothers her. On my days off, I usually feel better and we were ok.

Recently though, I've started to feel like we're growing apart and those feelings I had for her to start just aren't there much anymore. I do love her and I know she loves me but it just doesn't feel how it did. We don't go on many dates an we're rarely intimate anymore and I feel I have to instigate it every time we are. We almost broke up once over a petty dispute where she, in a roundabout way, accused me of having another girl in our house (which did not happen at all).

We have spoken about how we can help eachother out when I'm on shift and not receptive to her but things haven't changed much and little things that she does have started to really irritate me. I've noticed that when we are home together, I'll lose myself in a book or play games to distract me so I don't let these things get to me which basically means us not talking much past how our days were.

I really don't want to upset or hurt her but I'm beginning to feel that I'm delaying the inevitable which could cause more trouble down the line. I feel like an arse because I she has been so supportive of me and I have doubts.
