I'm sampling a flight of gluten free German lagers with a French wine pairing. It's called a Smorgasvein and it's elegantly cultural!

Hi Randy

A lot of the same beers are in the Christmas Advent Calendar box

Good to know, I've never seen that one at Costco but I'm going to keep a look out this year.

Woah! I hope mine has that!

I quit drinking, but man those beers look good. Reminds me of drinking Augustiner in Munich.

The best beer in Munich—good memories

Just bought this too! It comes with an informative booklet about beer tasting and recommends a companion app to enhance your beer tasting experience. I’m actually learning something. The booklet doesn’t talk about each specific beer in the box but the app does. Cheers!

Whereabouts? Never seen something like that 'round here in Atlanta (they have beers, but never seen an import variety pack like this)

I hate my state

I couldn’t imagine not buying booze at Costco.

I too live in a state that runs ABC stores. I just went on a trip to Myrtle Beach and visited the Costco liquor section. It was ahhhhmazing. Got the Kirkland Irish cream and Kirkland vodka for $30. Should have bought more but husband was giving me the side eye.

FWIW don’t expect quality from a novelty. I don’t want to come across as a beer snob but these are not good representations of the style and are pretty generally “meh” across the board, same as the advent calendar, though it is a neat idea. It’s definitely not worth $30 for a 12 pack IMO.

Respect the opinion. Personally I tend to drink beers like Stone's Enjoy By series and felt these have been a nice palette cleanser. I like the idea of a trial pack and if nothing else it's going to cause me to take a deeper look at the German section next time I'm at Total Wine.

That’s a healthy attitude towards it.

12x4?

Just 12, one of each.

This box looks huge. Maybe the angle of the photo. Need a banana for scale :)

4
---Syndicate---OP•

It is a pretty large box. It's about 3/4 the length of a cart bottom. They are all .5 L.

6
reebs81•

Ah. That's it then. Got it. Cheers!

if you look at the boxes in the second row it is easier o gauge the size of the box. It is long and thin.

Damn, in cans too! I definitely don't have this at my Costco :/

Is that 4th one from the right a rauchbier? That looks delicious

1
---Syndicate---OP•

That it is, haven't tried that one yet but I'm not sure I like the thought of a smoked lager.

Found this in Tucson. I was also in Phoenix(Chandler) and they do not seem to have it.

They've placed the asterisk on the tag at my warehouse so it's on its way out.
