This doesn't seem like the kind of thing that the Bombcast would do. It would be hard to keep this from turning into a sales pitch for this device (not by them, by Tommy).

It's probably not appropriate for a Bombcast but it would be great as an Unfinished EX if they have something to show, if not then just an interview for the Presents feed.

I used to watch Tommy all the time on Reviews on the Run, would love to hear him cross over with GB.

Yeah they have had special video spots(not on the regular podcasts) where devs have come in to show off their games. Like Campo Santo and another time with Jonathan Blow. So there is plenty of precedent for Tommy to come by and show off his device.

Agreed, i would want them to be able to speak candidly about it which i think Jeff would.. but Tommy would have to be in for that

They could definitely do a video though, if not the Bombcast. I trust the guys to keep Tommy on task of actually answering questions.

That’s what e3 at nite is for friends of the site. Just say it’s a lost episode.

They could do an Unfinished EX. That's basically what those are.

edit. Shit I'm super late on that lol

This is a joke right? GB always invites people on to pitch their stuff. See : all their E3 content and Unfinished EX.

Are you new?

I was at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo last year when they unveiled the Amico. It's a weird thing that I think with the right marketing could be viewed more like that Playdate thing with the crank than what they're trying to market it as.

Tommy talked a lot about creating a family friendly device with games made exclusively with the Amico in mind and stuff. But I think Jeff and Brad said it best when they were talking about how weirdly anti-tech their pitch seems when it comes to the "There's no DLC for this!" mentality rears it's head. He talked about how the Wii succeeded financially because of how it brought families together. It's really gunning for that idea, doing what the Wii did to some degree.

I would love to hear Jeff and Tommy have a pleasant discussion over the challenges and potentials of a console with dedicated and exclusive games that are all family friendly. But as someone else said, that's Giant Bomb Presents or Unfinished EX territory. Would be weird if they brought him in for a Bombcast.

Yeah idek at this point. Most EX vids they post are ones in which they already have (at the very least) a mild report with the devs/know that what they’re demo-ing isn’t something that none of their target demo would(/should) be interested in buying. Clearly this subtweet won’t make an appearance on the mainline bombcast, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it got a mention in passing on an aftershow or something.

You think he also heard the ‘bodyguard’ dig?

I'd love to hear it. There's a ton of stuff to talk to him about, not just the Intellivision.

Right? I find myself endlessly fascinated by Tallarico.

It was weird finding out he was this big name in video game music when all I knew him from growing up was as a game reviewer.

Like, in my mind I still see him on the same level as Jeff or Brad, but he went into games. Where in reality he was already involved in games and detoured to media later. It's weird.

The amico is fine and all, but when's the next Gamer Warz coming out?

I think he would want to clarify on the no DLC thing that Jeff spent a few minutes on the podcast. I felt like Jeff was a little over zealous about his point, they said no DLC or In Game purchases. But game patches are not that, and since the new Intellivision will have wifi, I don't see them not fixing broken games on their platform.

I hope they take him up on the offer. I was surprised to start hearing his name a lot last year as someone who used to only know him from the old judgement day shows.

Has anyone seen video games live before? Thinking of going next month wondering what music they play though

I’ve been. Mix of old and new songs. You can look at their released albums to get an idea for the set list.
