How to get across your current life situation without being douchey.

So trying to edit my profile around. I'm 36 and looking to get back into dating after a long term marriage that ended several years ago. I know for a fact most women my age (looking for women 33-40) are looking for men with stability, you know the standard "have your shit together"

What's the best way to convey this in my profile without coming off sounding like a jackass? I'm looking for a woman with the same stuff going on for them.

Because I do have my shit together. No debt except my mortgage, homeowner in a nice area, make really good money, retirement, no kids and a stable career I've been doing for over 17 years now. Essentially I pay my bills, don't live paycheck to paycheck and don't get into trouble.

Now I think listing all that stuff would definitely make me come off as a douche, but I really worked hard to get where I'm at and I'm proud of it. I'm definitely ooking for someone in the same situation to share my time with. Want to date people who have serious careers and not piled up with debt or other schemes.

“I’m an ambitious, financially secure homeowner. Looking for the right woman with similar values for a LTR.”

  1. Be attractive
  2. A brief intro to what you're looking for
  3. 3 prompts that make you interesting

Your financial security or lack thereof is a non issue unless you're already matched, talking, or going out. She can always find out you have your shit together once you're dating. No need to qualify yourself.

This isnt profile related but bonus advice: if having a serious career is an important trait, be sure to ask her about her work when you match. I was so surprised to find that men don't ask and don't seem to care about career. As a woman with a senior management level career, only one person I've talked to has bothered to ask. And I've been seeing that person for a some months now. It was a relief to find someone who is also serious about their business.

I don't see how men don't ask that question, if you're in for a serious relationship, that stuff is so important.
