B450 for R9 3900X?
Hello everyone, I'm planning on having a full 3900X build from the ground up and have already decided on what Motherboard to buy aswell, it's the X570 Taichi. But because I'm not an expert in this (I'd say just below average), I came across another motherboard that I really liked.
The other day I've read the tech news and it seems that MSI is updating their X470 and B450 lineups to be more better optimized for 3rd gen Ryzen I guess.
The Tomahawk will also get an upgrade and will be the " B450 Tomahawk Max".
My questions are:
• What would I loose if I would go for that mobo instead of a X570 Taichi?
• And would I ever run into possible or known issues when going for the B450 Tomahawk Max?
• Based on my preferences down there, what motherboard would you recommend to get?
• What to consider when going for the B450 in general?
My upcoming build:
R9 3900X RTX 2080S 16GB 3200MHz (hopefully the Trident Z Neo) 1TB + 250GB M.2 NVMe Straight Power 11 - 850w Gold
My preferences are:
• I won't overclock my CPU but if I do, it'll be a very slight one.
• Future proof and longevity
• Robust and stable
• No PCIe 4.0 use
This was supposed to be one single question, sorry.
