Ryzen 3000 Build - Worth It?

Hey,

I’m looking to build a new gaming rig to replace my existing (and ageing) setup.

With the launch of Ryzen 3000 I’ve been considering going down that route but after watching benchmark videos on YouTube over the last few days it would appear that Intels offerings come out on top both in price and performance. Is there any reason I should seriously consider one of the new Ryzen chips or should I go with the “best bag for buck” and side with Intel?
