Can someone explain the cooldown timer to me?

So I just started spoofing and I’m still learning everything. I started of by teleporting to Budapest, caught a few Pokémon and done some raids, teleported back to where I am in North America and it seems like I am soft banned. The cooldown timer on every Pokémon said 30 seconds and I waited the time before I started catching anything, what did I do wrong?

Its pretty simple actually, the way this game handles spoofers is mainly that it looks at your location when you catch pkmn or do other actions. If the locations between different actions are too far apart, then you will get soft banned.

That means you can teleport anywhere you like, as much as you like, but the second you do any cooldown inflicting actions, you're basically locked in that area for a certain amount of time.

Those actions include amongst other things:

  • throwing a ball/berry at a pkmn

  • spinning a pokestop

  • fighting in a gym

  • fighting in a raid (some people say you can still fight and the cooldown only activates if you start the raid encounter afterwards, but be careful with that)

Use google for more detailed lists.

That means if you catch something in Tokyo and tp to LA afterwards, you will not be able to catch something for 2 hours which is the maximum amount of cooldown time you can have. For shorter distances there are corresponding cooldown times.

Of course, while you're in an area you can move around in that place as much as you like, doing whatever you like. It's just when you TP to too far away distances that you need to keep the cooldown times in the back of your head.

By the way, this is how people can shiny check without getting banned. Just tapping on a pokemon and checking if it's shiny is not a cooldown inflicting action. So if you flee immediately, without throwing anything on it you won't get banned. This way you can tp around the world without anything bad happening to you

Hope this helped.

so if I haven't played in 8 hours and wake up and TP somewhere across the world I should be fine? But if was playing somewhere and then TP across the world I would need to wait 2 hours before doing something else?

You can moce as often as you like its the time and distance between each action. Using for instance the max distance cool down of 2 hours as an example if you spent 8 hours in say Japan and then wanted to go to say England you would need to wait 2 hours from the last action in Japan that invokes a cool down to when you do another Cooldown provoking action in England. Time off the game also counts for the cooldown so playing then sleeping is a good way to reset the cooldown.

It’s a 2hr cooldown from Budapest to North America the cooldown timer on the Pokémon in your nearby is if you would jump from your current location to where they are now. If you’re using ispoofer it’ll tell you how long the cooldown is in the same area where it lets you teleport

How can you tell it would be 2 hours? I tried looking and didn’t see anywhere that showed that info.

After you do tap three times on the map to select where you go a thing will pop up asking if you want to teleport, on the top part of it it’ll say the distance and suggested cool time

Oh ok! So once the cooldown time is up you can do everything normally with no worries?

Yes

Theres a chart on r/PokemonGoSpoofing for cooldowns, for example "5 km, 3.1 mi, 2 min" means you have to wait 2 minutes if you teleport 5km (3,1miles).

The maximum cooldown though is 2 hours, so you can teleport anywhere around the world if you wait 2 hours after your last triggering action.

What you can do is to teleport anywhere as fast as you want to check for shinies/raids/whatever as long as you dont do any cooldown triggering actions like for example catching or spinning.

€dit: and about that 2h info, if you're using ispoofer and using the feed list, there is a cooldown time shown, depending on the distance from your current position to the pokemon/stop/gym.

By the big cool down warning it gave you when you attempted to teleport to NA

I logged out and put in the coordinates. I’m guessing it only shows the warning if you teleport in game?

You’re using iSpoofer? It shows you no matter if you used the map, snipe, or however. Anytime you’re going to teleport it gives you a cool down.

If you are not entirely sure, you can go under your profile to Recent Activity and see the exact time when you've had the last spin on a Pokestop, got a Pokemon and so on.

24.14 km/h if I’m in a hurry I put it to 120

I really appreciate it!

So does this mean if I joystick around my town I should be fine?

1
RadialpuddleOP•

Yes. They only ban players in mass bans and they don’t do that often because spoofers make them money. You’ll be fine.

Awesome, thanks for the info! I just started and I'm digging the joystick, absolute lifesaver
