Have I fucked my phone?

I've moved to a different network, so I've got a new SIM card. I don't have my removal tool anymore, so I tried a pin. I put it into the hole, and gently tapped it in then pulled it out. It took a lot of effort to pull it out, but the tray didn't come out with it. I think it went in pretty far too. I've bought a removal tool off eBay now, so I'll wait until that arrives before trying anything again. Do you guys think it will be fine?

9 time out of 10 it will be fine.

Happened to my Poco and my sisters 8 lite

On both phones it felt like we went too deep, but everything is still functional

omg the possible innuendo...

but you can mess your phone up if you use a pin that's either too long or you try to jam one in that's too fat. At the very least, you may not be able to properly eject or replace the tray....

So basically u inserted a small pin to the hole? And it won't come out?

It came out, I just think it went in further than it was supposed to.

IIRC there's a bit too much play in the mechanism and you CAN actually miss the tray ejector and shove the pin past it, into the phone.

But, if everything still works I wouldn't worry about it. You probably just poked at the frame.

Emphasis on 'small pin'

It'll be fine. I did the exact same thing a couple months ago with my phone because I was too lazy to look for the eject tool (it was deep in a drawer full of other stuff).

Don't use a pin.. Always use a paper clip and turn one end into the ejector... Its not pointed on the tip and has always worked like a charm for me

Yeah I actually tried a paper clip like an hour ago. Worked a charm :)
