That thing sounds absolutely glorious. I love everything about it.

60k and they couldn't spring for Brembo M50s or something?

Imagine paying 60k and getting that dash straight out of the 80’s.

Don't you dare to talk shit about the Viffer! Not even about the 1200, man!

I had a ‘98 800 and just prayed that Honda would up the capacity, when the 1200 come out I went fuck yeah 😛 to fuck no 😐 in a heartbeat. They missed the R portion of VFR. I miss that 800 though.

They didn't completely miss the R. They remembered to make the fuel tank as small and useless as possible, completely invalidating it's touring credibility.

Yeah :/ Honda seemed to want to increase the displacement and power in the VFR while combining it with a Blackbird (since the Blackbird had been discontinued), and out popped a VFR-blackbird-mix that neither one of the fan-groups really liked, sadly...

Plus the Euro4 emissions hit a few years later and it was good bye... Now that engine just exists in a returned version in the VFR 1200x, though I don't know for how long.

The engine is fine, the original VFR bike itself is ugly as sin
