why you should never put a link to your website in the job description?

I was looking for someone to do some work on my website so I decide to include the link in the job description.

THE BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER!!

Now, I am constantly getting harassed by upwork users (specially from India).

So far, I got 3 phone calls. First one I told him I am going to report him and he said that he doesn't have a profile on upwork. That was two days ago. He called back today but I didn't pickup

Second one was a lady, as soon as she said upwork I said do not call this number again.

I got at least 10 emails most of them starting with "trust you are doing well" and the worst is that they send a follow up email the second day.

I also got someone message me on whatsapp and skype.

It's getting on my nerves. :(
