Feeding question

Hi guys, I know there's a ton of questions about feeding, but this is my first reptile and I want to make sure I'm doing everything I can for him. I got my boy about two weeks ago, and he seems to be pretty comfortable in his new home, he's become pretty active and even will crawl on to my hand fairly quickly to let me hold him. The thing is that he hasn't eaten anything yet.

I went to my local reptile store and they recommended king meal worms, we tried these and he just turned away when we offered them on tongs, and showed no interest/walked away when we left them in the dish or to crawl around in front of him. He almost seemed scared of them. We purchased some smaller worms and wax worms to add one to the bunch we put in to try and entice him, but still same deal. I've tried with both calcium/vitamin dusted and plain worms. I'm waiting on a dish they can't escape from to ship, so we can leave them overnight, but I'm wondering if there's anything else I can try to get his interest up, if there might be an issue, or if I should just keep trying and wait. The breeder I got him from said he was raised on meal worms, so he should at least know what they are.

His tank has a warm, cool, and moist hide, warm side is usually around 88F, cool side is usually around 70-73F naturally.

I know they can take a while to get really comfortable and they can last a little while without food, but I'm just worried for my baby boy and was hoping to get some advice :)
