New aloe vera plant damaged in unfortunate accident - are the damaged parts salvageable? Advice please!

Help!

Hi everyone, I'm a house plant newbie so apologies if this is a basic question!

I recently acquired a new aloe vera plant and the some of the stems have sadly been badly damaged during a house move.

I'm hoping to salvage them but unsure of what to do. Is it best to cut the damaged bits off, and is it likely to be permanent? (or could it grow back?)

Thank you in advance for any advice :)
