C:S startup problems after getting mods

I've recently downloaded a bunch of mods/assets from the Steam workshop. Since then, whenever I try to start C:S up, I only get a black screen with no sound, and the computer freezes if I interact with it. My specs are : Win10, Intel i7-8th gen CPU, GTX 1050 GPU and 8GB RAM. After checking with Task Manager, it seems that C:S does not have trouble with RAM however. What can I do ?
