what the fuck
who took that photo of him with the echidna because they suck too
I think it might have been the security that found him, potentially as evidence or to log what they found in case it was investigated.
I was thinking, people who hurt other people start with small animals right?
What a fucking piece of shit.
Hope they issue a massive fine and further punishment.
That cockwomble deserves to have the book thrown at him. We'll see how it falls on him
[deleted]
Yep, this bloke is a guaranteed serial killer later in life. Lock the fucker up and throw away the key. There needs to be some sort of mental health intervention orders that can mark people as a danger to the public and have them put under a serious level of control.
[deleted]
Full offence, but he fucking looks like someone who shouldn’t be anywhere near animals, children or the general public either.
[deleted]
Definitely.
Reading that ruined my night. What a fucking awful way to die.
Same. Makes me feel sick.
Fuck that cunt.
Mainland Chinese is the main reason all Asians get shit.
take it home to
studyeat it.
What a huge fucking piece of shit. I really hope this arsehole gets jail time, but don't think he will. Have to get his name black-listed instead.
Surely Griffith will kick him out?!
What a piece of shit. What is it with Chinese students torturing animals? First there was that dickhead that tortured a kitten now this clown.
I'm going to email Griffith uni and complain about him being enrolled. If torturing a protected species isn't worthy of an expulsion then nothing is.
You listed a whopping two examples. There's countless accounts of white people torturing animals but you don't categorise them as anything. Yet every instance you hear of a Chinese person you add that categorisation. Recognise your own prejudices.
I said "students" you gronk. Not all Chinese. Go back to your party run PR firm.
If all Chinese students were going around hurting animals we wouldn't have any wildlife left. Want to make more racist generalisations?
A psychopath in the making. Hope he gets jail time then deported
There must be something about Chinese mainland culture that either means they never interact with animals or they don't teach respect to animals at a young age. So many tourists I see and interact with are just very clueless when it comes to animals. Is it because they are raised completely in a city?
Maybe we should run tourism PSAs. Surely there is something we can do to educate tourists and protect our animals from harm and harassment.
Mainland Chinese have a reputation for being fucking oblivious to everything around them. Little to no self-regard for anything other than themselves.
Can confirm. I can't even count the amount of times I have ridden through the valley on my bike and nearly hit some fucking idiot chinese tourist/person who somehow doesn't manage to see me riding towards them, despite the fact that I am pretty wide and very hard to miss. They will watch me riding towards them, then suddenly and magically decided that it is a good fucking idea to side step right into my fucking path. It's ALWAYS the Chinese that do this. I have been around Asians long enough to tell them apart, so I sure as shit know it's not Koreans or Japanese. Everyone else sees you coming and moves, or I go around them.
God damn blind fucking sped cunts. Worse than the imbeciles who suddenly develop a blindspot when it comes to pedestrian crossings and shoot through them when you are trying to cross.
Some of them are just so clueless it makes me want to rip my hair out. The worst I've had is when they're in front of you on an escalator blocking the right hand side then when they get to the top they don't know where to go and just stand there aimlessly.
It takes a special kind of stupid not to observe what people around you are doing when in a foreign country. What side the the footpath they are walking on, escalator etiquette, etc.
Christ.

Same in Vietnam. Hardly saw birds in the wild there.
I am mainland Chinese and I love animals and treat them carefully and with respect. Chinese people like us don't make the news. And understand there's 1.3 billion of us. If one in seven people in the world are of a certain ethnicity, you'd notice them a lot.
I dont hear shit like that from India.
You will, once their middle class starts booming.
Nah. Indians in general arent cruel to animals. Most practice vegetarianism.
The one in seven people point is very good and my statement was an over generalisation. I know mainland China cares about animals they have done amazing work on panda conservation.
I don't make a baseless statement about how Chinese tourists act though, I have volunteered at a zoo. In general, the general public doesn't know how to act appropriately around animals and I've told off plenty of Australians for doing dumb shit.
Please don't think I'm saying that Chinese tourists act maliciously towards animals, they always are sorry when I ask them to not do something (apart from dickheads but they are universal.)
They just seem to be unaware of the right way to act around our animals. I don't know if it's a language barrier or a problem with them not knowing much about Australian animals or about the differences in living in Australia vs China. I wouldn't know because I have not been to China and I'm not Chinese, If you have any insite on this I'd honestly love to hear it as it could maybe help me educate others (not just chinese tourists) about our animals in Australia.
The long term solution would be to wait. Most of the Chinese tourists you see in groups are new middle class and got money from China's economy boom. Most city folk hate them as well. But in a generation or two, their children will be well educated and it will be less problem.
Solutions for short term is to just talk to them and show them how to behave. Most Chinese are non-confrontational so they will listen when you tell them politely but firmly. Can't do much about the dickheads unfortunately.
It sucks but China is going through growing pains in a time where everyone is watching. Education is the most important fix but that takes time.
There is a dam up near Bundy and the genius that designed the spillway made it so they are like giant steps. The sad thing is turtles keep going over it and get killed by tumbling down the bottom to their death.
I think it's the Princess Dam or Paradise Dam or something like that.
Paradise Dam. The steps are dissipators to take the energy out of the floodwaters to protect the dam wall and people downstream. They weren’t enough in the 2013 flood and the dam was damaged from the 8.65 m of flood water flowing over and scouring the spillway.

can someone from that university bitchslap that guy if they see him? what an asshole.
He should have his leg and arm joints removed
Get ready for even more Chinese Nationals lobbing your wildlife off of cliffs.
Jailing journalists sends a message that Australia wants to do things the way China does, and attracts not only entitled tourists, but entitled agents of the state.
Get all the way fucked, this guy is scum he better be sentenced, expelled and deported. No sympathy for those who hurt animals.
[removed]
At least after punishment we can deport him. I was reading that post earlier about the aussie bloke who beat up children. It's just a shame we can't deport him.
Unfortunately not. No conviction was recorded, do he still meets the character test.
Hey Dutton, how about kicking a cunt out that deserves it for a change?
What’s with all these stories about Chinese people in Aus recently?!
I keep seeing articles from the CCP bribing your politicians (?) to Chinese students censoring Australians on campuses by demanding people apologize for anything counter to Beijing’s narrative, or pro-democracy. They (the Confucius institute, the CCPs arm overseas that mobilizes Chinese nationals to protest against the nations they live in) were threatening violence because they said their feelings were hurt...
From an outsider looking in, it looks like you guys are bending over backwards for a bunch of people who show your country no respect
R.E The punishment : “Acting Magistrate Robert Turra did not record a conviction, but ordered him to serve 18 months probation, and carry out 180 hours of community service” Absolute Joke.
This is obviously an extreme example, but I'd honestly put this down to culture moreso than some depraved sociopathic streak. In my experience with mainland Chinese people overseas, they simply don't think of the world around them the way we (i.e. westerners) do. Animals are just "things" rather than living, feeling creatures with independent existence outside of whatever purpose they serve to people (food or entertainment or aesthetics or whatever). The natural environment is just a kind stage-dressing for anyone who comes by, not something to be respected and nurtured for the benefit of other or even just for its own sake.
I'd say give him the good old fashioned cat o' nine tails treatment... See how he handles 100 lashes.
Why isn't hanging legal.... Lets hang this psycho or throw him off a bridge.
Holy hell, deport the that shitstain ASAP.
No, imprison him until he's served a full sentence THEN deport him. Just deporting him is unlikely to actually punish him, aside from cutting short his studies.
He is Chinese, he wont get fined, or no more then $250, because mummy came over, and he is sorry. A guy killed 20 emu, got 6 months jail, was in for 2 days, his mum a policewoman, got him out for an appeal. He was only fined $375, and given 12 mths good behaviour bond. What do you think this good little Chinese guy will get - nothing and we won't hear anymore about this.
What the fuck I missed a speed sign and got fined $470!! Apparently I should rather be out committing intentional crimes.
You are a n Australian that doesn't know anybody - like me, we get fucked over, but these animal murderers, are somebody or know somebody, so they walk!
Chinese students and well-off Chinese in general are going to become the new privileged and untouchable class within this country. We already see it in the domination of our University campuses and countless politicians being sponsored by or working for pro-Chinese interest lobbies. I suspect that once people really catch on, things will be far more extensive than what people realise.

You are right, but China will also be the rulers of Australia within 10 years, and our pollies will actively allow it, as well as most of the idiot voters we have. If they have to fight to stop it, they will turn tail and run, or give up and beg, only ex military like myself and current military will be there for the fight.
Its only happening because our government refuses to take a stance on it, they are not untouchable if we change the problem that is giving them power.
Me and my fellow Chinese friends don't bother anyone. "Chinese" is too broad of a category. Everyone else gets sub categories (rednecks, 1%-ers etc aren't just labelled "white").
That emu killer wasn't Chinese just FYI. Intentionally leaving out his ethnicity seems to make your comment imply that he was also Chinese.
I didn't intentional intend to imply that.
Wait the emu killer got out of jail? That was the first half decent sentence I'd seen imposed for animal cruelty.
He is still out of jail on appeal I believe.
Look at the picture. He looks like a fucking serial killer and pedophile combined.
I guarantee that man has raped at least one woman while in Australia.
