Safe downhill riding?

Just a little background before I get into my question.

I skateboarded on and off for years (never learned any major tricks besides Ollie's) and I used to longboard to school, but never really bombed hills or anything.

Which brings me to my question; Are there any electric boards that have some sort of governor/braking system that prevent you from flying down hills and are easy to stop?
