[Help] OBSE, Steam, and Mod Organizer 2 - Can't get Oblivion to launch

Title gives the specific problem. I've installed the mods I need to through Wrye Bash, sorted the order with BOSS, built myself a bashed patch, and followed the instructions on this page and yet MO2 doesn't want to work with Oblivion.

Modlist here.

Load Order here.

Are there any glaring, obvious problems?

Edit: New problem! Can't get to character creation. Can't even get to the intro movie with Captain Picard. Game boots fine, problem was with my Bashed Patch.

Edit 2: Finally managed to get it fixed. To anyone having inexplicable CTD's in Oblivion, it may be your Bashed Patch. For some reason, simply making a Bashed Patch in Wrye Bash can break Oblivion when running through Mod Organizer 2. I got 'round this by using Mator Smash instead. Seems to work fine.

Why are you using both Wrye Bash and Mod Organizer 2 (MO2)? They're doing the same thing, installing & managing apps. You only need one.

I only use MO2 so I can't help with Wrye Bash sorry. That website you linked to is how to get OBSE working with MO2 though. If you installed the mods with Wrye Bash then just use that.

I use Wrye Bash for building a bashed patch and installing BAIN mods.

Try running Bash through the executable list in Mod Organizer 2.

That's how it's already set up. It doesn't launch from there, either.

I don't know then sorry. The only other mod manager / installer I use is Oblivion Mod Manager for Darnified UI. I launch that through the MO2 executables list but maybe Wrye Bash is more complex so has issues. I'm fairy sure you can install BAIN mods in MO2 so maybe think about that. I know people still recommend using Wrye Bash but I've never had any success with it personally.

No point using MO2 with Oblivion. Stick to Wrye Bash unless you want more problems.

I'm using it for file virtualisation purposes. I mean if it doesn't work now, and I put it in my folder with hard overwrites, it's only going to be worse.

Have you tried to disable all the mods to confirm that it's a modding issue and not a configuration issue?

Yup. Been through them one by one, twice. Seems to be an issue with the Bashed Patch now? It loads to menu but when I click "New Game" it crashes with my bashed patch.

Isn't the bashed patch dependent on the mods? It makes sense that the game would crash with the bashed patch enabled but without the mods loaded. Try disabling everything including the bashed patch and obse plugins if you have any and try again.

Mods are loaded, though. Just the Bashed Patch that's on the wonk.
