Canada to US Testosterone

Advice

Hey! Just left my endo and he suggested I try and get my testosterone from Canada Because it’s cheaper. I wanted gel, did IM, want subq it gel now.

Anyone have success or know where I can reach out to?

You'll need to get a prescription from a Canadian doctor; You can't fill a prescription written by most US doctors in Canada (unless your doctor is also licensed to practice in Canada). And I'm guessing you live near the border (and therefore plan on coming up to Canada to stop at a pharmacy)? Getting a doctor to write you a prescription when you already have a prescription in the US should be easier, but it may be worth searching for trans friendly doctors in whatever big Canadian city is closest to you.

I don't think vials of testosterone are all that much cheaper here though (especially not when you add in gas and time and the doctor's fee). I dunno about gel, though.

I'm from Canada.

Honestly I'm not sure. I was thinking about how Bernie Sanders came over with a bunch of people to Windsor, ON recently to buy cheaper insulin but I didnt realize that you don't need a prescrible for insulin which seems weird in my opinion. So I am not sure.

For me, I needed to see an endocrinologist to get my T prescription, which I got a referral from my therapist, which was given to a family doctor to refer me to this doctor. So I have no idea about filling a testosterone prescription.

Sorry for my lack of advice.

I have heard stories of packages getting seized at the border, even if they are legit. I don't think it happens often, but knowing my script could get stuck in the mail when I'm close to running out isn't something I can gamble. So there is that to consider.
