The Curtis curve .. love it
I was going to say , I love the Curtis curve.
I can smell all tha musty leather from here.
Looks like an oven mitt
Modern oven mitts have more protection
Yet they have no asbestos to protect you from sick burns
That blocker makes me want to cry, not because it’s old, because it’s Mylec
All your missing is a Hrudy bandana and a Patrick Roy throat guard.
Those pads are going to be heavy as shit once they get wet.
they should make modern pads/gear with this “old” look/style. That would look fresh af.
They do.
Kick save.......and a beauty
I had those old pads when I was trying out for my high school in 1997. Made me a stronger skater. Once I got a pair of modern pads I was like Felix the Cat Potvin.
Yea who needs a chest protector anyway
I got a Curtis curve for Christmas when I was 6 and it changed my life. I used only Curtis curves from mites to peewee.
Do you have a Kelly Hrudey jersey to go with it?
dont die OP
Now you're making me want to break my old leathers out, and my Jofa helmet.
Ha! I had nearly the same setup back in the day (85 high school). The pads would get wet and heavy. I upgrade and bought a newer glove signed by Andy Moog. Thank you for the nostalgic trip!
Fantastic
Ooo, lose the helmet and you remind me of plante
No jock in the picture. Truly old-school.
This is one of the coolest things I've ever seen, and not just on this sub. You gotta post up in-action pics!
You will probably regret using that glove. Unless the hardest shot is equivalent to a toss from a beer league softball player.
oh, i absolutely will regret it
but i still wanna see how it would go
That’s the kind of attitude I like to see
Definitely a goalie.
I respect that. I want to hear how it goes. I hope I’m surprised!
Goalie confirmed
You will shatter your forearm with that blocker too...that is a Mylec street hockey blocker??
Agreed. Would make a sick shrine, horrible idea on the ice.
This is basically my inline street hockey setup. You don't need nearly as much padding when using inline pucks.
