Expectations of this sub

Thank you all for getting us to nearly 500 subscribers on our first day here. When I suggested this place to be created I wasn't quite expecting that. I wanted to take a moment to post what I think we should all expect of this sub and what we should hope it will turn into. I do not agree with the argument that the reason the main FFXIV subreddit features little discussion is because "there just isn't much of anything to talk about FFXIV." While there's a grain of truth to this, I believe it is a sweeping argument that excuses suppression of what discussion we could be having. So we're going to see if that is true. If you have thoughts or questions, or a topic you think would be interesting, try posting it here instead of the main sub. If there is news in the game, which will of course be posted in the main sub, post it here as well and we'll see what the difference is.

I fully expect this sub will have peaks and valleys of activity, just like the activity in the game itself. There will be plenty of occasions where there will be nothing left to discuss, and we'll just simply wait until we have something new. However I hope it will stay a place where in-depth conversations, analysis, and discussion are fostered and encouraged. Thank you all again.
