Having a weekend where all games involve jerseys with player-chosen nicknames could be a great way to inject some more personality into the league.
Do you think this would be a good addition to the season? Or should we just have some more outdoor games involving the Blackhawks instead?

Maybe this could help. "Look, ever sens nickname is 3 letters or less" or every player would be wearing a old players jersey or something to save money. "Since when did Chabot go by Karlsson and wear 65?"

During the NHLPA poll-just the more recent one, there were more players that were in favor of doing then players who weren’t in favor of doing this, so if most of the players like the idea too, I don’t see why not. Besides, it’d be really cool

NHL has half the games MLB has. MLB needs to somehow get people to tune in on a Wednesday in early August. NHL doesn't have the same problem.

mlb has 1pm monday games. their schedule makes 0 sense.
1 PM weekday games only happen on Wednesdays and Thursdays except for holidays.
I literally have watched Monday 1pm games this summer and still, 1pm on Wednesday makes no sense. Everyone’s at work
The have afternoon weekday games because teams travel after those games. Teams also often play 6 games a week, so what’s the big deal?

Yes, as long as it isn't those boring black & white ones the MLB has this year. But I like the idea. Low risk way to get some guys to loosen up a little and show a bit more of themselves.
Players Weekend also lets the players wear custom cleats. It'd be awesome to see some guys break out custom skates.
