Mice with non-standard click types?

Question

The standard instant, snappy click that every mouse seems to have is so boring to me. Mechanical keyboards have a bunch of different switch types for any taste -- are there any mice with a different click feel? I'm considering ghettoing a couple of keyboard keys to a mouse body to see what it's like . . .

That's because most gaming mice are optimized for actuation with pretty much no travel. There are silent switches with a dampened feel from Logitech, and the WMO has pad-style switches which also have a pretty interesting feel in my opinion. Otherwise most mouse clicks are pretty much the same.

silent mice. logitech make a bunch of them.

they use kailh silent red tip switch.

it is a flat switch like the old intellimouse ones.

ghettoing keyboard switches ill say go for it.

i would put some mx blue or a clicky speed switch

to reduce travel i would say.

thick o ring

and a low profile keycap.

If ghettoing MX-style switches, I'd go for the Kailh Speed Bronze or Pink, since they have clickbars that are crisper and feel better than the MX Blue clickjacket. Something like DSA profile would work for keycaps (although perhaps sculpting on the Cherry profile switches would work for the mouse's shape?).

could be an actual interesting project.
