What if there is no VONC?

What would happen if there is no VONC against the conservative government later this fall autumn. Would the conservatives be able to survive that? Without opposition to use as an excuse for a GE, Boris Johnson would be caught by his own words, and be forced to go through with a no deal brexit. How long can the conservatives afford to be in government in a country in chaos?

So what do you think would happen if there's no VONC? Would Boris suddenly see the light, or would he just ride the whole country into the unknown? And if so, would the tories ever be able to govern?
