There is no hard evidence that only their equipment has the exclusive ability to do this.

This claim is basically identical to VW pointing at other diesel engine manufacturers saying "look, they're at it too".

Typical strawman Reddit.

Yeah, not wrong though.

This is exactly what Huawei is doing.

Typical Strawman open letter.

Foreign policy is an outlet by Graham Holdings, USA

By your logic, if the CCTV camera brand used was not from Huawei but some US brand like ABC Security, would your comment be "Fuck US"?

Why wouldn’t it more be “fuck Serbia”? Huawei is just the provider.

WSJ in the original article:
The Journal investigation didn’t turn up evidence of spying by or on behalf of Beijing in Africa. Nor did it find that Huawei executives in China knew of, directed or approved the activities described. It also didn’t find that there was something particular about the technology in Huawei’s network that made such activities possible.
But the title is: Huawei Technicians Helped African Governments Spy on Political Opponents
I'd say it's a clickbait at minimum.

The intent was to spread FUD propaganda by the American outlet. It is clear by the title, beyond which 95% people do not go and read articles.
