I pay cash for my meds, no insurance besides my old Suboxone discount card and a Goodrx card. I’m now paying about $160 for 60 8mg strips of Dr. Reddy’s, compared to about $500 for the brand name. I feel exactly the same and I’m loving the extra disposable income.

I’m on I believe my 4th month getting these. The first time I went into Suboxone treatment I got tabs. I hated them as well. Edited: TMI

How do you know where to specifically go to get generic ones ? Will GoodRx tell you, and does the card cover a good bit of the expense? Been buying from a friend, but i'm looking to get my own scripts going.

I would call the pharmacy to make sure. For me, the regular Walgreens that I always get controlled substances from just suddenly started giving me these.

Yeah I asked for brand name they told they had these so I was 10 vs 127 for a week i went to cvs

Some people are saying the generics suck, I think it’s all mental personally. Happy you saved some cash!

I do too think it all in your head they work the same to me it's the tablets that suck I k ow I'm not getting all of them

Tablets do suck compared to the name brand ones I used to get back in the day. So if generic tablets suck I’m sure generic strips do as well. I read a lot about people complaining about them, that’s tells me it’s not placebo. I’m in a fortunate position where my insurance pays for name brand strips. But hey if the generics don’t effect you, to each their own.

I think a lot of it is mental as well and partly people not taking their medication properly i.e. drinking, eating or smoking less than 20 minutes after you take your meds. I have had a lot of different generic. I have had Dr. Reddy, Alvogen and Sandoz and personally my preference is either Sandoz or Alvogen. They both have their pros and cons. Sandoz is thin but I think contains the same formulation as the name brand by Indivior. Alvogen has a thicker strip but the formulation is not as strong.

I know right!? I pay like, a whole $3 when my sub script was like $35!

Be wary though, they dissolve much quicker than Suboxone (bad for salivators like myself), are more difficult to cut (tends to stick to itself), and seems to worsen gum irritation. I needed to increase my dose when I got these in order to compensate

thanks for the heads up they do dissolve faster I did notice that and they seem thinker

Sandoz ones are supposedly better because they are manufactured in the same facility as the Indivior name brand ones.

Yeah, they did seem to change the taste of the Sandoz ones compared to Suboxone. Sandoz don’t have that “bitter orange” taste to them.
