Are Feral zombies super easy in SOD2?

I feel like feral zombies were much more of a threat in the first game considering they could pin you down and take a bite out of you. So being attacked like that twice was basically the end of your character. Does anyone miss that? I used to turn tail and run the other way in the first game but in this one I’m much more confident I can take one.
