Is the next Planecation event Zendikar?

Question

Credit to u/Sahje for extracting the art from the game files. Apologies if my memory is poor, but these art files seem to be the 5 "planecation" events, in order:

Notice the last one is Zendikar. This also implies that the event could be "Landfall" (each player starts with a landfall emblem), although it doesn't have to be, considering that the current event is relatively unrelated to Dominaria.

Well we already knew the last event was "landfall" event.

It was between Landfall and Pauper.

We have known for a month that "landfall" was going to be an event in this set of events. https://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/magic-digital/mtg-arena-state-beta-july-2019-07-18 We didnt know the order though.

That article also mentions Pauper.

Yes as in "pauper and treasure constructed are already special event types we have on arena here are 3 more we are going to try for plane-cation".

I really like the landfall theme - in theory. But with Field of the Dead in Standard rhose decks are just gonna get even better because you get more triggers and can get it out more consistently.

What's interesting is that we don't have a Zendikar board yet. I wonder if they'll just recycle the Tarkir one from the tutorial (and say it's now Yarok's swamp)?

Just open up the deck builder -> Basic Lands -> Not collected -> and look at the basic lands that are there but aren't unlocked yet.

We already knew last one is going to be Landfall, Landfall mechanic is very strongly linked to Zendikar, and even explanation of this event mentions Zendikar, so yes, almost certainly next Planecation is on Zendikar with Landfall.

"We know" what wizards told us, next event being last one, and Landfall being big new thing yet to be shown is common knowledge. But they also told us one of events would be Pauper, and it turned out to be Singleton, so there is nothing 100% certain.

No they never said pauper was going to be one of the events. The article here https://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/magic-digital/mtg-arena-state-beta-july-2019-07-18 states "In addition to Pauper and Treasure Constructed, we're going to be trying out three new events for the Chronicles: Guild Battle, Standard Shake-Up, and Landfall." meaning "pauper and treasure constructed are already events in arena so we are going to be trying 3 new events for the chronicles"

“In addition to...events for the Chronicles” means that pauper and treasure constructed are two of the Chronicles events, guild battle, standard shake-up, and landfall are the three they’re going to try. So, yes, they did say that pauper would be one of the events.
