Then again, most of AMD’s GPUs are out on store shelves as soon as they’re released

LOL

That ending's too good to have been auto-generated, but had a good laugh regardless :D

Scariest thing is people who don't REALLY follow the market and understand the underlying tech could take this as true and run away with it.

(remember, fake news)

At $1,500, the RX + 980X may seem ridiculous, but consider that just one year ago, AMD’s 50-thousand-dollar, dual-graphics card was simply not a viable option. One way AMD has managed to lower these prices is by offering free games, most recently Apex Legends. Interestingly, as AMD has done this, the prices for similar Nvidia cards such as the GeForce GTX 1080 are beginning to inch closer.

In the end, today’s Radeons are, once again, best for anybody who isn’t concerned with graphics cards as a profit center. But in 2019, we will see Nvidia’s Logan, Pascal and Devil May Cry 4 as well as AMD’s Anthem launch. From here, these cards should better perform at higher resolutions, beyond the price expectations people might have come to develop, and these cards will be more reasonably priced.
