Majestic tree man didn’t drop out for this 😡
Wow, steering away from the biggest issue facing mankind since nuclear weapons. Literally poor people in the global South are dying TODAY, not in 30 years, due to climate change. But ok, lets not debate this.
But they debate it at every debate. What that other guy said, about them doing this for every issue, isn't a bad idea
???
They are scared that Warren and Bernie’s plans will be too expensive so they would rather just not have them be televised.
They say that would just mean everyone would want a debate for their own per issue. I actually kinda like that idea. A debate for guns, a debate for education policy, etc. that way we could hear what candidates actually think as opposed to “congressman, here’s a super complicated issue. You have one minute, then your opponent will have 30 seconds to rebut and maybe you’ll have like, 20 seconds of shouting to get your counterpoint across idk.”
Yeah I don’t understand this decision. If the DNC wants a clean nomination, the best way to thin out the field is through debates like this to expose strengths and weaknesses of each candidate
To be fair, this would make much more sense in general, where the two sides are actually different.
Spend $20 trillion through the new GND vs carbon tax is a radically different policy. It's like saying full-on commies and liberals have the same view because they both want to eliminate poverty.
