Question about redelivery notification

I’ve been expecting a package which was marked signature required. I’ve been home all day and never heard a knock or my door bell ring. My cameras just shows him sticking the notice to my door and immediately turning around. Frustrating but oh well. I went online and requested to pick it up instead.

My question(s):

  • says on the slip available for pick up after 8/27. Does that mean I can go pick it up tomorrow since I went online and requested to pick it up? OR
  • will they attempt delivery one more time and then I can pick it up on 8/28?
  • for future knowledge if it says available for pick up after 8/27, does that mean I can pick it up that day (8/27) or I must wait until 8/28, the day after?

I’m a bit confused so any clarification/help is appreciated. Sorry if this is confusing, it’s very important that I have this by tomorrow as I need it for school.

Try getting the number of your local post office and call them. You can explain the situation to complain if you want (not sure if you want to do that, or if it will help). But just call them either right now or first thing in the morning to ask them if they have the package and to let them know you're coming to pick it up in person. I doubt they're going to attempt another re-delivery tomorrow, but even if they do, you can call them before the carrier has left to tell them to just keep for pick up instead. Sorry.

Thank you! I’m going to go up there tomorrow. I tried to call the 800 number but the wait time was 53 minutes. I’ll go up there tomorrow and see what I can figure out

Thank you! I filled out the redelivery thing online but selected customer pick up at my local post office. Door bell works just fine. We have one of those door bells with a camera and we also have security cameras around the perimeter of the house along with one staring right at our porch.

I wouldn't go real early, I always put the next day after 10:30am to make sure the clerk's have had time to put it where it belongs so when you come they can find it for you easily.

Thanks! I’ll be going before my first class around 10am. I did the thing online to schedule a pick up for tomorrow. I understand they’re busy, very busy, but it just makes me upset that he just stuck it to the door and didn’t knock or ring the bell. Oh well! I hate having to sign for things. This seems to be my luck every time

Well it turns out they can’t find my package now. I went up there this morning and spoke with the man who runs that route, he said another person filled in for him yesterday on his route. He said he’d bring the package to me later today. Well he just knocked on my door and told me he didn’t have it and would speak with her to see if she still had it. He is going to give that salmon colored slip to the other driver too.

I didn’t think they’d attempt another delivery but after speaking with him this morning I thought I’d have it but apparently it’s temporarily missing. I also thought that having requested to pick it up via the online site I’d be able to do that.

I think I’ll give that post office a call. I needed that package for one of my classes today and here I am about to go to class without the one thing I need for this course! Oh well! Whatcha going to do? Just gotta wait at this point
