Has Koenigsegg done a top speed run with the Jesko yet? I wonder if they were waiting for this to happen to beat it the next week.

They haven’t done a top speed run and it’ll likely be years before they attempt. The press car is their track optioned model and the top speed car will have a smaller wing and other features to make it able to reach a higher top speed.
I’m nearly certain they will beat this record. The jesko is rear-wheel drive so it doesn’t have as much heavy equipment, along with being 8 cylinders lighter while having similar power.

But weight doesn’t really affect top speed, only acceleration...

I don’t think thats true. The top speed a viper ACR is lower than the GTS because of the higher downforce, which simulates weight.

Oh okay I see where you're making the mistake. The car is slower because of the higher downforce not because it is simulating weight, but because the downforce is creating more wind resistance.
Top speed is a function of wind resistance and horsepower, acceleration is a function of weight and torque.

No. I don’t even think the Jesko is completely done yet. It’s obviously close to being done, but who knows? I’m just worried that all the drag from the aero is gonna slow it down too much.

I think they'll smash 304 mph, I'd actually be really surprised if they didn't, it's kinda their thing.

Incredible! The thing is nobody who can afford to own this car has the skill on the race track to get up to these speeds.
