How does druid damage work now?
In original classic I played druid, I researched and found that changing to a better weapon would upgrade my kitty DPS. Just got a massive upgrade today, and wanted to see the difference in my chr sheet.
Strangely, nothing changed, my dmg is the same with staff or orgrimar as it is with the crescent staff.
Can someone link me to the new formula so I can gear wisely?
thx in advance!

In cat form weapon damage and weapon speed is not applicable :(
SO when did this happen? I've beeen looking through patch notes and haven't seen anything? Is it just the +wep dmg that helps and I mis-remembered?
Feel like I'm going crazy here.
Basically, the weapon of a cat / bear is their claws. This lead to Druids scaling a lot worse than the other classes, so they added feral attack power to some items in AQ & Nax, to let Druids keep up. In BC they added it to more common items, and even later (I wasn't playing a Druid by then) they rolled it into weapon damage.
It’s always been this way. It’s the reason why a gnomer 2h is BiS for feral. They are purely stat sticks, so getting the one that increases your attack speed by a flat % for X amount of time is enormous.
I have memories that directly conflict this, s'why I'm having a hard time with it. I played druid in 1.10-1.11 and have very clear memories of learning how it worked & applying that knowledge to make my dps better.
I played druid early on and I remember it the way it is now. But I think +attack power, +str +Agi all increase dmg
