Dishwasher Not Starting and Mystery Part found in Drain
Hey all -
Bit of mystery here. My Frigidaire Dishwasher isn't starting. I noticed that the drain wasn't draining so I disassembled drainage and found some utensils and a mystery part.
When I press the start button nothing happens, but the lights for choosing the type of wash work so I don't think it's the electronics.
Anyone know where this part goes and if it's a clue to why my dishwasher isn't starting?

That looks like some sort of door switch. If you're saying it's not starting I'm guessing the machine is not sensing the door is closed and refuses to start it.
What's the model of your dishwasher? Usually you can order these parts from Amazon and replace them yourself
I can’t find the model number on the thing. I even pulled it out and looked at the back. It’s not old, only a couple years.
