I found this little guy in the carpet of my 2nd floor bedroom. I have fire ant mounds in my yard but seeing this on the 2nd floor concerned me. Is this a red fire ant?
Good news and bad news it is not a fire ant instead it’s a species of carpenter ant.
Thanks for your help. Not the best news for sure.
