Max4Live doesn't work anymore? (ever since the 10.1 update)
So it seems like non of my M4L devices are working anymore since I updated to 10.1.
Does anybody have a solution?

Make sure you registered the correct license. When I was updating, it defaulted to a Ableton Live lite license I had in my account. I had to manually select my suite license.
Also just use the bundled version in preferences to get it working.
If these things fail just download and reinstall Ableton Live. It may be a corrupted install.

I never registered a Lite license. I dont even know where to choose the different licenses while updating.

Well, seems like the only advice I haven't followed so far was the fresh install. And I'm not in the mood for that crap right now.. :)

Just updated to 10.1.1. Max4live totally fixed!

I can't update Max7 itself. I always thought m4l updates with live.

It should... but if it did, you’d be on Max8... open M4L by clicking the edit device button, and click update in Max.

Look in the "Max Application" section of the "File Folder" tab in preferences. Are you using the bundled version of Max?
I bought Live 10 Suite when it came out. So it was included and I never had an issue with - let's say - the LFO tool from M4L. Haven't been doing anything production wise the last 6 months, updated to 10.1 and noticed the odd bug you can see in the screenshot included in OP.
