Another note is that I found I got lower temps with the stock ihs, I played around with the copper ihs and found my temps were higher on air coolers and about the same with a waterblock, obviously this could vary from cooler to cooler but its something you could test out if you never did
I haven't tried switching back to the stock IHS. Thanks for the tip. I'll try that at some point, if I don't go straight to a setup similar to yours. I'm still a noob when it comes to water cooling so I'm still doing the research. I was thinking of starting off with this, because I know it's compatible with my board: https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-fb-asus-m9h-monoblock-acetal-nickel My GPU is already watercooled with a 240 radiator, but I need to get another case if I want to install another radiator bigger than 140 for the CPU.
Along my journey I came across this: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/341758082/ncore-v1-naked-die-cooling-waterblock-designed-by
I'm open and hoping for any suggestions on which hardware I should get for my loop, or which case I should get that'll hold at least 2 240 radiators. I'm thinking the more radiator surface area the better, and the more coolant the better?
Somethings not right, I could get that score on like 4.7ghz
This is with all voltages set to auto, manual mode, cpu voltage set at 1.50v. The highest score I've been able to get so far I think was 3897.
You should be well over 4000
I could probably smash out a 4200 at 5.2ghz on my 8700k
How high do you let the temps get?
