Let's make a Reddit 250 top movies list, *pre-1990* edition
It seems like there's some disappointment from the cinephile wing of r/movies about the relative dearth of classic movies to end up in the Reddit 250 2.0.
It would be great to be able to point someone to a list of what we regard as our favorite classics when they want to delve a little further past the blockbusters of the past 20 years.
Therefore, let's compile a similar list of our favorite films, but limit it to movies released before 1990. Same basic rules: link movie title to its IMDb page, search the page before adding to make sure it's not duplicated, vote up the ones you like. I'm interested in which ones you don't like too, so feel free to downvote, but we'll only count the upvotes for the final tally.
For films with different foreign and English titles, you may want to list both in your comment for ease of searching.
Thanks! I'm hoping this gets some traction so we can make a great list.
You can make a link to the movie by using this format: [Apocalypse Now](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0078788/)
EDIT: Please vote the submission up too, so we can attract the attention of as many movie-savvy redditors as possible.
EDIT2: DEADB33F has a pretty cool graph on his site for visualizing the leaderboard.
EDIT3: It's a good idea to sort by old when you're checking to see if a movie has already been added, and by new when you're looking to see what to vote for.
