Can the battery be damaged if I leave the phone plugged in all night and paired with Bluetooth speaker?

I have tinnitus and sleep in silence is a pain, so I would like to know if I can safely leave the phone plugged in all night while playing something in a Bluetooth speaker. Does this decrease battery's health?
