My morning capture combo

Photo

Not even trying to compete with this but still this is a nice score I think! Haven't seen such combo (first throw + excellent + curveball + first catch + weekly bonus + new dex entry) yet. Perhaps unbeatable might be beatable...?

That's really good, I think there's the collector bonus missing for catching every 100th of a Pokemon

Right, but I'd lose 'New Pokemon' bonus, which is even higher than collector bonus. Also, Lucky Egg and double XP event would still make the score a bit higher, so there's still room for improvement :)

Oh true, completely overlooked that. Without any multipliers, that does seem like the highest.

No I think he means type. You won't lose New Pokemon

the post you linked can only be beaten, when you get a 3-times capture xp and combine it with the community day pokemon being the first of the kind you get (lucky egg is needed too)

It could be beaten just with a first throw bonus added to what was posted.

I have first throw bonus on the screenshot nvm, misunderstood

The one you linked did not, which is what I was referring to.

Ah, ok, sorry for misunderstanding. I must drink coffee first and then read the comments ;)

Did you use an Egg? How about an evolved poke?

1
robdyOP•

Nope, no egg used. Actually I wasn't planning that, I'd pop the egg for better combo otherwise. Also, I don't think catching evolved mon give you any more exp.

If you didn't plan it, it's awesome

You get more XP and stardust from evolved pokemon catches, catch a Sunny or Midnight form of Cherrim and look at how much XP you get normally vs Cherrim

I'll check this, although I haven't found any source with that information. What you get for sure is more candies while transferring. (not really, scratch that)

Oh, and there seems to be one more factor, expert handler bonus which I didn't know as I never use AR for catching.

2

You don't get more candy from transferring an evolved poke, transfer the Cherrim and see. I want to look into the expert handler bonus, never heard of that one before

Instinctively hit the OK button and opened imgur.

I think you'd get more points with a pinap berry too

robdyOP•

Nope, only 2x candies with Pinap.

Would they? I never heard about any bonus for using Great/Ultra Ball.
