24F intermittent stabbing pain in upper abdomen
I am a caucasian 24F located in Canada.
For the last three days I have been experiencing a mild to moderate stabbing pain which occurs infrequently and intermittently in the upper right side of the abdomen, near where the ribs end (approximately level with my belly button). The pain radiates from the location towards my hip and down.
Possibly relevant information:
- I am 6 months postpartum and have not had a returning period. I took a pregnancy test a few weeks ago, which was negative. I am charting my ovulation with bbt and according to my temperatures, have not yet ovulated postpartum.
- I have lost 7lbs in the last 6 months, from 125lbs post birth to 118lbs. This is less than my usual weight (which generally hovers around 125lbs).
- I have not changed my diet or exercise.
- I am not having any diarrhea or vomiting.
- I had a low grade fever of 99 yesterday. However, I also have a cold. As do both my kids, who have not had any fever.
- I am almost always anemic.
- I have an allergy to sulfa drugs.
- For the last few weeks I have been bruising much easier than normal, finding many bruises on my legs (most located in the shin and knee areas, but also on the back of my legs), bruising occurs on both legs, on the calves only, I do not have bruises anywhere else. Three days ago I woke up with a line of thumb print sized bruises running down the length of my entire shin. I counted my bruises today and between both legs, counting both healing and fresh bruises, I have 18 thumb print sized bruises. I had been attributing this to low iron.
Prescription meds: Zoloft, 150mg daily
Supplements: Vitamin C, women's multivitamin, taken semi regularly, I forget every so often.
