According to a comment on YouTube, the track is Brianza by ISI for rfactor

CHALLENGE: Downloaded it and see what sort of time you can post in a FSONE2009 car!

Challenge... accepted. Edit: Man this track is BUMPY. Can't seem to prevent the car from bottoming out at some points, too... Whatevs.

Up until now I was using a Monza version from a 2010 track pack that had a more grippy surface and a bit easier turns and wider exiting curbs. I've gotta learn the track again! This might help. I'll keep practicing, could you get a small server up and running? Would be cool to practice together. :3

How does a 1:26.218 compare? (Red Bull, 23 lap session)

I really haven't sat down in FSONE before and tried to refine a lap. Always seem to be giving new tracks and cars a "quick test" rather than really getting into it.

As for a server... Yeah, I run a GT Legends server on a spare machine here when needed. Always intending to install rFactor on it too. Currently the server's out of action awaiting replacement RAM, but should be going again within 3-5 working days (according to Corsair)

Holy Batman! I could only manage a 1:27.154 after 47 laps - though I might have actually done 20, 25 tops as I often stopped before the start/finish line to adjust the setup.

I can't seem to find the right downforce/balance adjustment because I'm running the maximum ride height and stronger packers to prevent the car from bottoming out... Should I forget about the sparks and lower it down, even though from what I've read it can add up to 4 tenths to a lap?

What's your downforce setting? Mine is 7/9, I reach 347 km/h before turn 1, and it's manageable to a certain extent but I'm not comfortable with such low downforce. For example at Spa I run like 18/28, to be faster in sector 2.

You sir, have my utmost respect, as I predict that even with the right setup I might be able to lower the laptime to about 1:26.5... We'll see, I've been at it for a total of 2 hours - watching '09 onboard cams to learn breaking points, making like 5 laps in 2nd gear so that I could get used to the track in the sim then getting into the setup process... Fantastic job, I'll give it a go in a couple hours or tomorrow.

I really have no idea about setting cars up in rFactor yet (the whole problem of just trying out new cars/tracks all the time). So I just grabbed this setup from rFactorCentral and went for it.

Hey, if we do the same thing for Singapore, I'll do my own setup from scratch.
