Best part of playing on PC is the chat!

There was an image awhile back of a crashed helicopter and the chat window was just "WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW"
"WELL THERE'S MY PROBLEM"
I just about spit my drink all over my screen laughing.
I wish more servers were like this one - only partially censored, if at all. Almost all the servers in Asia still have the standard, initial filters running.
Why can't I type the word "fuck" in chat, but the game audio can scream "fuck" and "motherfucker" in my ear all day long‽
Then again, maybe that's the only thing keeping PC a step above 360 ...
Indeed. The word filter should be client side and off by default. It is the internet, you can't avoid swearing.
Motherfucking right!
It's those goddamn snippers who fuck everything up.
Gotta watch out or you'll get snipped with the snipper riffle.
Sniper no Sniping! SNIPER NO SNIPING!
....aww mannnnnnnn
The more offensive people are online the funnier I find it. I'm not sure why people take such offense to anonymous craziness. As long as people don't take their bullshit into real life I am all for it.
Seeing the words "OH NO MY RADIO" at the end of Atacama Desert changed my life. I feel obligated to yell that at the conclusion of every Atacama match, or "OH NO MY PLANE" or "OH NO MY SUBPEN" for the appropriate maps.
Haha, I often saw "MY PHONE!". Brilliant stuff, had me laughing out loud when I first read it.
more like arica harbor
AGREED!
It's always the snipers that camp 50kms from anything important that get all the flack.
I had a sniper camping 2 bases back on arica harbour last night. You can't even see that far due to the HDR. I have no clue what he was doing.
This is why I play on the 360.
So you can get verbally abused by a 12 year old instead?
Surprisingly, people rarely talk in BC2 on XBOX Live. I've literally only heard 2-3 "12 year olds" in all my months of playing and in each case I just joined a new squad and chat was quiet again.
Yep, same experience with me. I recently got the game on PC and all I see is this in the chat:
"HACKERS LT-34-D CHEATING"
"NO DUDE I'M NOT CHEATING"
"YES YOU ARE YOU HAVE A HIGH SCORE"
My god I wish you could "mute" text.
More than a couple of times I've seen someone bitching in chat about so-and-so being a hacker, so I go to the scoreboard expecting the guy being accused to have something like 71-2 or 33-0 k:d, and the guy is only going like 7-4.
PC players love to bag on the 360 but that kind of stuff is pretty much confined to Halo and Modern Warfare. Besides almost everyone I know is in a 'party chat' through the xbox dashboard so I never hear a pub anyway.
I'd estimate I get into 1 squad using voice chat after about 4 or 5 rounds or so of randoms (on PS3.) Then just stick with them for the rest of the time on.
I had one 12 year old on squad yesterday for one round, but can't remember the last time. It's by far a majority adults on voice chat on BFBC2 (MW2 is practically the reciprocal of that.)
I have BC2 for PC, but don't enjoy gameplay as much as PS3.
Man that server guy owned them.
And the worst part about the chat is the fucking blue tint it leaves on half the damn screen that EA should have fixed years ago.
Try pressing ~
But then its completely hidden. Even in small mode there's a huge 'shadow'
I seem to have my chat stuck in small mode, how do I get it big like in the picture?
and if by shadow you mean part of the screen is a tinge red and the rest is a tinge blue i get that

Huh, so thats what that is
THAT'S WHAT THAT IS
