Some people don't take warnings well, even physical ones. I see that in people surrounding Bernie Sanders. At 78, same age I am--and I always considered myself very healthy until old age really set in last year w/breast cancer--he has already had one heart attack. That, and my recent 9 day hospitalization (for which drs could come to no diagnosis), told me I could not keep up the go-go pace I had developed over my lifetime of being a single mother and worker, getting only 6 hrs sleep at maximum. I get more sleep now and don't rush through life anymore since I have no one to impress (which shows my own stupidity).
And that stent won't keep another heart attack from happening to Sanders, either. My 54 yr old son had a heart attack and stent put in and still died of cardiac arrest a year later and he wasn't even working, although he was a walker for exercise. My grandmother had a heart attack in her 50s and 20 yrs later had a fatal one, even though she slowed down considerably. I have no doubt Sanders will die if he keeps up the pace of a heated political campaign, and Dems are nuts if they keep engaging in wish-upon-a-star beliefs. He's no longer 30 or even 40 and is gambling with his life. Well, good luck with that. I personally think that aside from the "Bernie Bros" that he's finished.
I agree. Being about the same age as you I know I don’t have the energy I did in my 40s. I think that we should amend the constitution to have an upper age limit to run for president like 65. But of course if we amend the constitution I first want to get the equal rights amendment passed. Only one state to go!
