Mrrl HAD the Crimson Tide Stallion today on US servers and suddenly switched it out?!
At 12:05pm EDT (9:05am PDT), I checked Mrrl's inventory and to my pleasant surprise he had the Crimson Tide Stallion for sale.
I didn't have a tentacle taco, so I went to hang out until Murlaco spawned to get one... and then spent some time figuring out which items I needed to buy in the trade sequence to get the Tide Stallion.
However, when I went to actually BUY it, Mrrl instead had the Unusually Wise Hermit Crab for sale instead for the same price. What gives?!
For reference, daily reset is at 11:00am EDT / 8:00am PDT. Even if it wasn't, the two times I checked were both within the same hour.

Different shards sometimes have different items.
From what I've been able to tell it's up to two different items a day.
Yes try to search group finder for it that’s how I first got it.
I checked group finder about an hour ago and again now, no luck there.
I also tried a few other things, but it has yet to put me back into the right shard.
Actually, that's what upsets me the most... I was in the right shard to start with and the game apparently moved me out of it during the Naga Commanders mini-event.
Ah lame, this was a while back closer to when the patch dropped so there were lots of groups for Murloco etc.
The shards all catch up to the new daily items eventually, so that’s just life. You might not have even left the shard you were on

I would say that the dumbest thing I've ever heard, but then I remembered this is Activision-Blizzard we're talking about, so it's probably true.
Crimson Tidestallion is usually up once a week. You could also try hopping shards or change your war more to see if the item is present.
I already tried swapping war mode on, but Mrrl just has the same thing. I also tried joining a group with a friend on a different server.
