A local friend was convinced to regularly drink a broth of cicada husks for endometriosis. I did not try it, but the smell was amongst the worst smells which I have encountered in China (this should say something). Another local colleague was convinced to drink some ground snake powder in hot water (bc obviously) multiple times for curing "the damp," which he could never fully explain to me as a problem.
If it has no effect at all then consider you lucky, many of the things they use to cook shitsoups are proven to be highly carcinogenic to liver and kidney.
In all, they know nothing about how the body works and nothing about what's in their shitsoups. That's why CTM cliams to have cure for almost any disease yet not single one passed FDA test.
