Astro a50 gen 3 warranty 6 months or 1 year?

Hi, i bought an astro a50 gen 3 from ebgames in Australia and it kinda stopped working (not my fault), and i was told they only cover 6 months warranty for the product. Am i being scammed? Shouldn't it be 1 year?

Edit: Thanks to a random amazing redditor, they have replaced it with a gen 4 headset!
