How do I steal the title of president as an Americanist?

Great mod. Can I steal the title or is he the pope of this religion? What are the pagan religions that allow for reformation? And if the creators could integrate the vassalize tributary mechanic from ck2plus, that'd be great since it feels weird holy warring Christians

Edit: I just started the game and I already hate my president. Apparently he thought it'd be nice to excommunicate me because I took Washington from him
