I spent all my slayer points skipping tasks to get a basilisk task

You only have to unlock them at higher-level masters. From what I’ve seen, Vannaka had a relatively high Basilisk weight and will give them out without the extension. I still managed to spend ~400 points at Vannaka and still didn’t get a task, but I think I’m unlucky.

Spent 600 after going back to slayer and didn't get them. Regret not just unlocking bosses and some other stuff. I did basilisk unlock and basilonger though. So maybe one day

Vannaka does have high weighting for Basilisk, but there are way to many monsters that can be assigned by him, making that weight mean less. So, you probably aren't as unlucky as you think.

I tried Vannaka on release. It's a decent weight, but the other tasks just suck so much. At least with Duradel there are a lot of 10 minute tasks which saves you a lot of points.

That's what I'm picking up on. I just went back to Duradel and am just hoping I get lucky at some point. Unfortunately I've been getting alot of Waterfiend tasks so those haven't been going so quickly.
