Is buying the Kino No Tabi physical LN worth it?

Question

Ive been meaning to try Kino's Journey for quite a while. Though never had because Id refer physical. And plus there is only one volume really out in physical.

The cheapest I can find that is a physical volume is $20. Tho I have heard that tokyopop changed alot of the stuff from the original japanese copy, like the illustrations and stuff. Not sure if itll be worth it, would it? How is the translation?

I was the translator for it. What they released is not my translation. It has a substantial rewrite that changes the ending to at least one story and tried to make Kino more stereotypically feminine. I can't recommend reading that version.

Shit how can they do that :(

Thank you for the translation though

Oh yeah I've read that you translated it.

Well that sucks...

Too bad that the LN series is dead in english (well here in Germany too but we had 4 volumes instead of only one ^^°) I really want to buy and read all volumes. The only way to enjoy more Kino is the manga. >_<

Oh we had four volumes? I could only ever find the first one and that one only because a library deemed it a Mängelexemplar. Do you know where one could get the others?

I have only 3 of the 4 volumes but I found them on Amazon. These were old library books too. Got them for 19€ each book two years ago but they are in perfect condition.
