I would be really curious to hear how this goes. New content as late as Friday seems sad. :( You deserve your dead week.

Yeah, we lost out on most of our Dead Week during Fall ‘18 due to the fires. Pretty rough to see history repeat itself.

Last Fall there were 3-4 days of classes cancelled, but only 2 days allowed for makeups. Those two days also occurred at beginning for the week.

The reason why I don't like this years policy as an instructor is that it basically says "You can lecture if you want" but doesn't say what to do about assignments, etc. I'm pretty sure it allows for holding sections but that means I would be asking my TAs to teach (and prep!) in the middle of studying for finals. They have enough work grading, etc. as it is and I'm certainly not putting another thing on them right at the end of their study period.

The end especially doesn't allow you to take a break, study hard and have time to digest things. Monday/Tues aren't great, but it's a lot better IMO.
