This connector in the picture from a tutorial, on how to install an auxiliary adapter, does not match the one in my 04 Honda Accord. Looking for suggestions or different methods.

You can just plug in the adapter without the y-connection and you won’t notice any problems. As for tips for getting the connector out without doing the radio, you just have to grab a mirror/light and maybe a small screwdriver to press the tab. Once you get it pulled out just slightly the tab will stop locking it in and you can just wiggle it out. If you’re worried about it it might be easier to just pull the head unit part way out, look up a video on YouTube and see if your up for it.
I'm up for it. Only thing all the videos on YouTube have the tutorial with the plug facing a different direction. I'm gonna try to mess with it, or just pay for cost to have someone install it.

Thanks man. I'm gonna give it another try.
On mine it had the same connector, but it was already plugged into the cd changer for the radio. The connector faced towards the front of the car so it was difficult to get too but you shouldn’t need to pull the radio out. If you want to still keep the 6-disc changer you will need a y-adapter of Amazon to plug both the cd changer and six adapter into that connection.
That makes sense. When I got to the connector, it felt/looked like it was facing towards the front. I didnt want to be too aggressive with it cause I didnt know if it was the entire radio setup. So I can just pull out that plug and plug in the adapter? I dont need the cd changer seeing how its 2019 and all. Any tips to get that plug out without it being too difficult? I'm fairly average on working with car stereos and dont want to take out the whole radio.
Thanks for the help btw.
